Cellular Expert project scope
Alldean Satellite Networks Ltd. has purchased one license of Cellular Expert and is using the software since 2004. The main purpose of the project was to plan an initial CDMA2000 network for delivering voice services. The end user of this project was military forces. The network had to be designed in “green field” taking into account many restrictions (insufficient and complicated supply of electricity and other resources).
The project consisted of trainings and pilot project. During the pilot project, several tasks were accomplished:
- Alldean Satellite Networks specialists tested different areas for building base stations, sites which offer the best and most reliable coverage.
- Specialists have calculated CDMA traffic.
- Calculation of point-to point and point-to-multipoint link availability.
This project was challenging for HNIT-BALTIC specialists, because it was the first experience with CDMA type of networks. Based on the project results Cellular Expert CDMA toolbox was created and later it was released as Cellular Expert CDMA license.
Business value
A feasibility study was carried out, which enabled client to evaluate further steps for building a CDMA2000 network according to the available budget, equipment, and other necessary resources.
